The German Pinguin B3 is a large remote-controlled, reusable underwater vehicle designed for minehunting operations. The Pinguin uses a sonar guidance technique similar to the semi-automatic command-to-line-of-sight (SACLOS) method found in many anti-tank missiles. When the minehunter detects a suspicious object on the sea floor, it launches the Pinguin, which steers "primarily automatically" into the "line of sight" established by the minehunter's sonar.
