The Littoral Battlespace Sensing-Glider (LBS-G) is a U.S. Navy program to acquire ocean gliders based on Slocum Glider technology (see separate record). The Navy uses the deep and shallow water gliders to gather oceanographic data to improve the positioning of fleets during naval maneuvers.
