The SMX-24 is a submarine concept developed by French shipbuilder DCNS. It features "plug-and-fight" modules that allow the boat to be quickly tailored for individual missions. The sub would be a long-range, ocean-going platform with excellent payload capability, according to the builder. Potential missions include special operations; land attack; anti-surface; and anti-submarine warfare.
