These boats are ex-drug runners captured by the government -- 8 in 1988 and another 46 by the end of 2000. They do not carry pendant numbers.
There are two variations: One is 32 ft 8 in (10 m) longer than the other. Some have been equipped with Furuno-type navigation radars.
