The Feniks is a Soviet short-range passive sonar system designed for operation aboard submarines. Early post-World War II submarines with "new" sonar installations were primarily equipped with the Tamir-5L set, however later submarines were subsequently fitted with active-passive Herkules and passive Feniks sonars. On Soviet submarines, the Feniks was often paired with the Herkules sonar.
