The DUBM 41 is an active, side-looking, towed sonar system used to locate and classify objects on the seabed, especially bottom mines. It also provides a profile of the seabed.
The system was designed to be deployed from low-tonnage ships, namely minesweepers and minehunters in waters to 330 feet (100 meters). The commercial name is TSM 2050.
