AN/SQQ-32 Minehunting Sonar System

The AN/SQQ-32 is a mine detection and classification variable-depth sonar (VDS). This sonar is installed in several different mine warfare ships in with both the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. In the U.S. Navy, it replaced the less capable AN/SQQ-30 VDS originally fitted in the AVENGER-class minesweepers.
