Palm Frond is a Russian short-range search and navigation naval radar. The radar is a truncated elliptical paraboloid with a prominent boom for the illuminating feed. A pulsed magnetron is used as a transmitter.
On the Indian TALWAR-class frigate, the two Palm Frond radar antennae are positioned on a platform lower on the foremast.
