Kite Screech** is a naval fire-control radar for 100-mm and newer 130-mm guns. It resembles the older Hawk Screech** and Owl Screech** radars, but its illuminating feed supports are more closely grouped around the center of the circular paraboloid reflector.
While the other two radars use conical scanning in a single band, Kite Screech operates in two frequencies and uses monopulse scanning. The two bands enable both coarse tracking (I band) and fine terminal tracking (K band)...
