The Mk 35 is a target acquisition and tracking radar for the Mk 56 anti-aircraft gunfire-control system used with 5-in and 3-in dual-purpose (DP) guns. The radar antenna is a 48-in parabolic dish.
The Mk 35 was removed from the HAMILTON-class Coast Guard cutters during their FRAM (Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization) program with the deletion of their 5-in DP guns.
