The French DRBV 23 air search radar is a development of the earlier DRBV 22C, which is no longer in service. The elliptical, double-curvature open-mesh antenna has a heavy rectangular "backbone."
The long underslung feed horn is braced by two struts that extend from the top of the horn to the upper edge of the reflector. The antenna rests on a tubular framework stabilized in roll and pitch.
