This is a naval surface search and navigation radar, developed as a successor to the long-serving AN/SPS-10 radar.
The AN/SPS-67(V) can use the SPS-10 antenna, but its solid-state electronics employs standard electronic modules (SEM) instead of vacuum-tube technology to simplify repair and maintenance.
