The Small Fred (Russian: 1RL126) is a high-frequency Russian artillery- and mortar-locating radar fitted on the PRP-3 (BMP-SON) tracked mobile reconnaissance post (a variant of the BMP-1, known by the U.S. Army as the BMP M1975). The system can also be used for battlefield surveillance and artillery fire correction.
