The JLP-40 appears to be a Chinese adaptation of the Soviet Bar Lock tactical air defense radar. It consists of system transmitter/receivers, processor, displays and two antennas. It was designed to provide both early warning and target acquisition data and operates with height-finding radars, such as the JLG-43.
