Cymbeline is a mortar-locating radar. It has two configurations, Mk 1 and Mk 2. The Mk 1 is trailer-mounted, while the Mk 2 is self-propelled, mounted on an FV432 armored personnel carrier (APC). The system requires a two-person operations crew: the display operator and the communications operator. Cymbeline consists of a display, indicator unit, generator, radar head and the aerial system.
