The AN/FPS-7 is a fixed-station, three-dimensional high-power monopulse search radar. To energize the enormous truncated paraboloid open-mesh antenna, the FPS-7 uses a strut-braced underslung feed system consisting of seven feed horns stacked one over the other. Each feed is aimed at a different el evation angle, allowing the radar to emit seven narrow beams at once.
