The NATO Sea Gnat naval decoy program, a joint effort involving the United States, Great Britain and Denmark, provides for standardized electromagnetic and infrared (IR) decoys to defend ships of frigate size and larger against guided missiles.
The decoys can be launched from any Mk 36 SRBOC chaff launcher (see separate database entry) or from their own launchers, designated DLB.
