The Italian naval INS-3 is an integrated passive and active detection and countermeasures system. The passive portion, designated RQN-3, identifies emissions in the D to J bands (1 GHz to 18 GHz).
The system has an automatic identification library that can compare the incoming signal with up to 3,000 store d emitter signatures.
