The Common Infrared Countermeasures (CIRCM) program is designed to supply a single solution for the U.S. Army's entire fleet of helicopters. The service has been authorized to acquire 1,076 CIRCM systems, with full-scale production to begin in 2019. BAE Systems and Northrop Grumman are competing for the production contract.
