The AN/SSQ-72 is a shipborne, tactical intelligence system designed to detect and identify enemy ships over-the-horizon (OTH) for targeting purposes. The system consists of the SRD-19 direction finding set, the SLR-16 countermeasures receiving set and the OK-324/SYQ system supervisor station. The S SQ-72 employs hull- and mast-mounted antenna arrays.
