The AN/ALQ-157 is an airborne infrared countermeasures (IRCM) system designed to counter enemy infrared heat-seeking missiles. The equipment consists of four subsystems: two transmitters, a control power supply, electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter assembly and a pilot control indicator.
