The AN/ALQ-136 is a helicopter-carried jamming system designed to detect radar-guided weapons operating in the I/J band. The system consists of three line-replaceable units: a control unit, two spiral antennas (for transmit and receive) and a transmitter/receiver. When the helicopter is illuminated by an enemy radar, the system automatically analyzes the received pulses and initiates the appropriate countermeasures.
