Reutech Communications of South Africa developed the LANDSEC family of fast frequency hopping, digitally encrypted, software-defined radios (SDRs) for the South African military. The radios were developed from earlier systems created under Project Radiate, an effort to increase South Africa's network-enabled capabilities.
