AN/ARC-217(V) is a lightweight, low-power, tactical, high-frequency (HF) family of radios. Its solid-state design is intended for use on both fixed and rotary winged aircraft.
The AN/ARC-217(V) main component is the RT-1651(V) receiver/transmitter. Various antenna couplers are also used, and ARC-217(V)2 and (V)7 are compatible with MIL-STD-1553B digital databuses.
