Raphael SLAR 2000 Surveillance Radar

The SLAR 2000, also designated the Raphael-TH, is an all-weather side-looking radar using synthetic aperture (SAR) and pulse compression to produce high-quality mapping.

The airborne segment of the system is mounted in a pod-carried under combat aircraft. The airborne system can also be mounted in the cargo bay of transport aircraft.

The SLAR 2000 is directional and operates in the E-F band. The beamwidth is a few mrads, producing a sharp radar terrain map. Ground images...
