The Optronique Secteur Frontal (OSF) is an infrared search-and-track (IRST) system integrated with the French Rafale fighter beginning with the F2 configuration. It is jointly built by Thales Optronique, which provides the electro-optical sensors, and Sagem Defense Securite, which supplies the infr ared detectors.
The OSF is the third element of the Rafale 's navigation and attack system (SNA), along with the RBE2 radar and SPECTRA countermeasures system.
