The MAREC II is a maritime reconnaissance radar developed for rotary-wing aircraft, but may be configured for small fixed-wing aircraft. The radar is also used for search-and-rescue, fishery and oil-rig protection missions.
MAREC II is a civilian version of the Sea Searcher radar system and was developed as a low-cost, lightweight radar for sea-patrol duties.
