Fan Tail** is an aircraft gunfire control radar for the remote-controlled tail-gun turret in the Tu-22M Backfire -B** bomber.
Some sources have suggested that the Fan Tail was developed from the Bee Hind ** radar. Both the Bee Hind and the Fan Tail may be equipped to function in the I-band.
