The AN/APQ-126(V) was a forward-looking airborne navigation and attack radar that came in several configurations. Its main functions were ground mapping, air-to-ground ranging and flight safety. The parabolic dish reflector had an overhanging feed, and could be tilted by the operator to examine particular ground targets. Selectable circular polarization improved resolution in adverse weather.
