SS-N-21 Sampson cruise missile

The SS-N-21 Sampson is a sea-launched cruise missile (SLCM) designed to be launched from standard Russian submarine torpedo tubes, similar to the U.S. Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile (TLAM). The air-launched version of this missile is the AS-15 Kent, and the ground-launched version, the SSC-X-4.

The missile's configuration is similar to the Tomahawk, with a torpedo-shaped body, pop-out wings and tail group, and a scoop-shaped ventral intake for the engine.
