Distilled mustard (HD) is a blister agent that has been purified by washing and vacuum distillation. It is a colorless liquid with a colorless vapor at 20 deg C (68 deg F) and has a garlic-like odor. HD is typically used as a delayed-action casualty agent and is highly persistent. Mustard has been known to last for decades if protected from the elements (e.g., buried).
