F17

The F17 is the standard French wire-guided, heavyweight torpedo for surface combatant and submarine use. The current production variant is the F17 Mod 2, which is heavier and faster than the previous torpedo, the F17P.

The torpedo can be used against both surface ships and submarines. Subs can launch the torpedo from tubes with pneumatic or water rammers or let the torpedo swim out.
