Russian 21-inch (533-mm) torpedoes are launched from fixed or trainable tubes in surface warships and fixed tubes in submarines. They are widely deployed within the Russian navy. Some export models have been sold overseas.
These torpedoes can be employed in anti-ship and anti-submarine roles, with some models fitted with nuclear as well as conventional high-explosive (HE) warheads.
