The Manta bottom-influence mine is a shallow-water sea mine designed to be laid by naval vessels, helicopters or divers. Its primary purpose is as an anti-landing mine designed to destroy or damage landing craft, small-to-medium tonnage vessels or occasionally large surface ships.
