The EM-52, known as the T-1 in Chinese service, is a rocket-propelled rising mine developed for the Chinese navy. It may have been inspired by early Russian models.
The weapon resembles a finned bomb, and is deployed in depths of up to 360 ft (110 m), although some sources claim an operational depth of up to 660 ft (200 m). It is intended for anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare operations.
