The RS-24 Yars (NATO: SS-27 Mod 2 or SS-29) is a Russian intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system developed from the SS-27 Topol-M (Russian: RS-12M2). It is equipped with multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicles (MIRVs).
