The Precision Attack Air-to-Surface Missile (PAASM) has been under development as a cost-effective U.S. replacement for the Hellfire missile.
It utilizes a variety of technologies from earlier programs including the Precision Attack Missile (PAM) and Joint Common Missile (JCM). The missile is designed to destroy targets such as armored vehicles, buildings, bunkers and small naval vessels.
