The Dong Feng 4 (East Wind, DF-4) was China's first intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). It was designated the CSS-3 by Western analysts. Initially designed to hit the U.S. military base on Guam, it was later modified to target Moscow and other facilities in the former Soviet Union.
