UGM-73 Poseidon SLBM

The Poseidon submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) was derived from the earlier Polaris SLBM. It was the first strategic missile of any nation to carry a multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) warhead, greatly increasing its strike capability.
