The 200-mm BMD-20 multiple rocket launcher (MRL) consisted of four finned rockets on a launcher frame that was mounted in the rear of a ZIL-57 6 x 6 truck.
Before the rockets were launched, two stabilizers were lowered at the rear of the vehicle and the cab windows were covered with armored shutters. The BMD-20 had a crew of six, with three located in the cab and three at the rear, on the right-hand side and facing outward.
No longer in service.
