The 160-mm MRL consists of a multiple rocket launcher with two launch pod containers, with the number of tubes and rockets in each pod varying with the type of platform.
The 160-mm MRL system can be mounted on several different vehicles, including the M548 tracked cargo carrier, M809 6 x 6 truck, AMX-13 light tank and M47 medium tank. The M548 and M809 have 13 rockets per pod; the AMX-13, 18; and the M47, 25. Israeli ground forces have deployed the system on their M548 carrier.
