The Shabab-4 is medium-range, road-mobile, liquid-propelled ballistic missile. It is likely based on the older Shahab-3, but has an increased range of 1,367 miles (2,200 km) and probably has better accuracy thanks to more modern digital guidance systems. The Shahab-4 is also believed to be based o n technology from the now obsolete Russian SS-4, though both Russia and Iran have denied such a connection.
