The KN-02 is a North Korean short-range ballistic missile based on the Russian SS-21 Scarab.
The missile is powered by a single-stage solid-propellant motor, which provides a range of around 75 mi (120 km). This enables it to strike targets south of Seoul, including the U.S. military base at Pyeongtaek, if the missile is fired from around the Demilitarized Zone.
