The Hyunmoo III is a class of cruise missile developed indigenously for the South Korean armed forces.
It is not to be confused with the South Korean Hyunmoo ballistic missiles, which are based on the U.S. MIM-14 Nike Hercules surface-to-air missile. Hyunmoo is Korean for "guardian of the northern skies."
