The CB-130 dispenser was shaped like a conventional bomb, having a tapered nose and a tapered tail assembly with four fins. Equipped with the PM-1 bomblet, the weapon was used in anti-armor, anti-personnel and incendiary roles.
Designed for deployment from high-speed attack aircraft, the bomb could withstand the high-g forces experienced by fighters maneuvering in a battle space. It was fitted with standard NATO 14-in (356-mm) suspension lugs.
