The BL755 cluster bomb consists of the Advanced Weapon Family dispenser and either the No. 1 general-purpose (GP) bomblet or the No. 2 advanced anti-armor (AAA) bomblet. By 1997, more than 52,000 BL755s had been built. It was designed primarily to defeat armored vehicles with a secondary anti-personnel capability.
The bomb has a cylindrical shape, rounded nose and four extending fins on the tail unit. It can be used with single, 10-in (250-mm) or 14-in (356-mm) lug spacings. See...
