The Honest John was the U.S. Army's first nuclear-armed short-range battlefield missile. It was also capable of carrying a conventional warhead. It was an unguided, free-flight 762-mm artillery rocket similar to the Soviet FROG series.
The missile is a thick cylinder with a bulged, ogival warhead section and cruciform, angled, cropped delta tailfins.
