Hades was a short- to intermediate-range, road-mobile, solid-propellant, single-warhead ballistic missile, designed as the successor to the Pluton tactical nuclear missile (see separate record).
The cylindrical missile had a tapered nose and four square cruciform tail fins.
The Hades was carried on a wheeled transporter-erector-launcher (TEL) consisting of a 4 x 4 tractor and a trailer. Each trailer carried two launch boxes.
