The U.S. M47 Dragon is a shoulder-fired, lightweight, anti-tank guided missile system originally known as the medium assault weapon (MAW). It is a short-range, man-portable weapon that is fired by one soldier.
The weapon consists of a tracker assembly and a discardable "packaged" missile.
The missile is packaged in a ready-round fiberglass tube. It has a cylindrical body, three curved pop-out fins and 60 small sustainer rockets that both propel and control the missile.
