The British LAW 80 (light weight anti-armor weapon) is a single-shot, disposable, short-range anti-tank rocket developed to replace two earlier anti-tank rocket launchers.
The high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) projectile is sealed in a container at the factory, has a shelf life of 10 years and is treated as a "wooden round."
The LAW 80 replaced the 84-mm Carl Gustaf medium anti-tank missile and the U.S. 66-mm anti-tank missile in service with the British army.
